Chef Yerson Behi and his team of Far Eastern Chefs at Wok It will be “woking” up a Far Eastern storm this Ramadan.
From Iftar until 9.00pm Wok It will serve a sumptuous Iftar buffet. Dishes will be cooked in small quantities and brought to the buffet straight from the wok steaming hot, so that every dish is freshly presented, and will be replenished frequently At AED85 person, dishes will include traditional Far Eastern Ramadan favourites, juices and water. Guests can revisit the buffet as often as they wish.
In countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, those fasting break their fast with the familiar dates, juices, water or even tea. A daily soup is expected, such as Bakso Soup - meatballs with egg noodles, rice noodles and bok choy, beansprouts, celery and fried shallots. Other staples are Kolak banana and sweet potato cooked in palm sugar with a hint of cinnamon, Gado Gado – steamed vegetables with a sauce of peanuts ground by mortar and pestle , Bakmie Goren – wok fried noodles with fresh scrambled egg, chicken or seafood, and Beef Rendang – a traditional beef or chicken stew served with jasmine rice, tropical salad and sambal ijo. Dessert will include the house speciality street food Martabak Manis, and Es Cendol – traditional pandan jelly with palm syrup and coconut milk.
Chef Yerson will keep guests returning during Ramadan with regular menu changes throughout the month. Guests may also purchase items from the à la carte menu to enjoy at home for Suhour later in the evening.
From 09.00pm until the restaurant closes at 01.00 am, diners can choose from the a la carte menu or opt to place an order for suhour that they can take home with them.

The five-star trained kitchen staff, led by Yerson Behi prepare a menu of Indonesian, Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes, from dumplings, satay, noodles and soup, wok fried noodles, curries, Terriyaki and famous “street food” delicacies. House specialities include the savoury Martabak Telor starter and sweet Martabak Manis dessert – a combination of cheese, chocolate with cashew nuts – one taste and you will be smitten: classic Indonesian street food lovingly prepared by Chef Yadi who only prepares these two dishes, using secret recipes passed down from his father and grandfather.
