|AMAF Makes 25% Construction Headway for Middle East's First Green Mosque in Dubai|
Pouring for Main Ceiling, Pier and Beam Foundation Complete
Dubai-UAE: 2 June, 2013 Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) today announced construction work for the Middle East's first eco-friendly mosque Khalifa Al Tajer Mosque - has made 25 per cent headway with concrete pouring for the main ceiling, as well as pier and beam foundation completed in scheduled time.
Pouring for the mosque's minarets up to a height of 23 metres, and the pouring of concrete slab in the ablution block have also been accomplished. Additionally, the electrical transformer room is ready and set for delivery to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The bricks for the outer walls of the mosque are also 40 per cent complete, while the internal plaster in the Imam's accommodation block is under progress.
Set for completion by March 2014, the Khalifa Al Tajer mosque will emerge as Dubai's largest place of worship with its facility to accommodate more than 3,500 worshippers.
