This exhibition reinforces Alif's mission to bring more awareness to Central Asian art and culture. Rimma Gagloeva was born and raised in a tribal village. Since childhood she viewed & absorbed a deliberate and sustained rhythm of village life, with its sort of ritual and poetic verse of work and holidays. The beautiful Ossetian mountains & landscapes she grew up with from her childhood remained the main subject matter of her work for a lifetime. They are full of visible energy and power.
