|Dubai Health Authority receives Thai delegation|
United Arab Emirates, Dubai, March 5, 2013: The Dubai Health Authority recently received a high-level Thai delegation that visited the DHA headquarters.
HE Engineer Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority received the Thai delegation headed by H.E. Warawudh Chuwiruch, Thai Ambassador to the UAE.
The two parties discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare.
HE Al Maidor said, “In today's globalised world, exchange of best practices is the way forward, especially in the medical field which is ever-evolving and thus it is essential to keep up with the latest trends and practices in medicine. We look forward to opportunities for mutual cooperation and ways to strengthen this existing relationship.”
Dr Chatree Duangnet, Group COO –Medical for the Bangkok Hospital seconded this opinion and provided an overview of the various medical facilities available in Thailand.
HE Al Maidoor provided an overview of the medical sector in Dubai and highlighted some of the key fields in which Dubai has achieved significant success.
The two sides also discussed public/private partnerships in the healthcare sector and framework for collaboration in the healthcare field.
UAE and the Royal Kingdom of Thailand already have several collaborative initiatives in place in terms of the medical field and the aim of the meeting was to explore further healthcare opportunities.
The Thai delegation that attended the meeting included Ms Thidarat Saenjai, Royal Thai Consulate General, Tachasit Prasittirat, First Secretary, Aqeel Bokisha, Consultant to CEO for Middle East Market, Ralf Krewer, International Marketing Director, Chayanon Wongpanich, International Marketing HOD and from DHA officials included Ghanim Lootah, Acting-Director of Institutional Marketing and Communications.
