Renowned international speakers, Professor Brian Little and Professor Herminder Dua will share their views and insight on Ophthalmology during the three day congress.
Professor Brian Little is a Series Editor of the award-winning Video Atlas of Eye Surgery, which is now used by more than half of the trainee ophthalmologists in the USA and features regularly as an invited speaker at international meetings and is also a Principal UK Expert on the International Working Group that develops standards for ophthalmic surgical equipment. He has performed phacoemulsification for 20 years and now also offers multifocal lens implantation for those who would like to be less dependent on their reading glasses.
Prof. Herminder Dua is the chair and professor of Ophthalmology, University of Nottingham and is the head of the Division of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He has received several awards for his research including the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress Founders' Cup, the Ian Fraser prize, the Julia Duane Scholarship, Spencer Walker Prize, and 18 eponymous lectures including the Duke Elder Lecture at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists annual congress.
The Emirates Ophthalmology Congress (EOC) is the only continuing Ophthalmology congress in the United Arab Emirates that attracts a number of delegates from GCC countries, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. This annual international congress is supported by Dubai Health Authority and hosted by the Emirates Medical Association from 12th to 14 December at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
