How one company is looking to change the face of Middle Eastern corporate culture

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 17th June 2013: EngageME officially opens its doors for business today, aiming to reinfuse the tradition culture of collaboration and community within the region's workplace.

EngageME is a creative employee communication and engagement consultancy that strives to make the ordinary EXTRAORDINARY. The company works closely with organisations to breathe life into their internal communication - using innovative, unique and impactful solutions.

Before moving to the region 5 years ago, founder and CEO, Brett Smyth, worked as an employee engagement specialist for a leading international management consulting firm. He has witnessed first-hand the challenges facing the region, and decided to form EngageME in an effort to inspire a rich sense of cultural ethos back into the Middle Eastern business environment.

“What we've seen in the region is a number of top international brands literally copying and pasting their business models in the Middle East, and struggling to achieve optimal productivity as a result”, says Smyth.“The workforce is largely fragmented and transient, which leads to uninformed employees who feel disenfranchised and despondent. True competitive advantage is built on a strong corporate organisational culture where employees are naturally inclined to ‘go-the-extra-mile', organically increasing
organisational productivity and profitability.”

“Our goal as a company is to help corporates inspire a sense of place and purpose into their internal culture, and to establish environments in which employees feel valued, engaged and motivated.  It's all in the doing, and it starts with well crafted employee communications,” explains Smyth.

Commanding attention amidst the sensory clutter that overwhelms us on a daily basis is becoming an increasingly difficult task. These days, it's not just what you say, but how you say it that counts. “We like to look at business from another angle. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of creativity to elevate a company from the ordinary to the EXTRAORDINARY – and creativity is at the heart of everything that we do.”

EngageME uses extensive experience and strategic insights to design, develop and deliver innovative communication solutions that will shape cultures, create richer conversations, unlock employee engagement and drive business transformation. The company also offers a number of unique training courses and workshops designed to up-skill staff and management personnel, in addition to comprehensive CSR initiatives aimed at meaningfully engaging employees.
