- Key representatives from Niagara College Canada and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute shared knowledge and expertise with the students
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; May 15, 2013: European International College (EIC), the capital's leading hospitality and business academic institution, reinforced its world-class education strategy for its students after high-ranking officials from key international partners Niagara College Canada and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLA) paid a visit to the college and conducted sessions with the students sharing the latest trends and developments in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Mr. Neil J. Chartrand, Dean for International Academic Business Development of Niagara College Canada, and AHLA officers, led by Mr. Joe McInerney, President; Mr. Ed Kastli, Managing Director for Africa, Asia & the Middle East; and Ms. Brenda Vazquez, SVP of Marketing were in town recently as part of their partnership with EIC, in which their collaboration is aimed at providing students with access to world-class education programmes through a global exchange of ideas, insight and knowledge. The visitors held interactions with the students, responding to their questions about trends in the international hospitality industry, and also shared presentations on key issues that shape and impact the global tourism industry.
Duly accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research in the UAE, EIC is recognized as among the first colleges in the country to offer Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) program with a concentration in hotel management and tourism. The college also offers an MBA program to complement EIC's other accredited programs, such as Bachelors Degree in Hospitality (offered in cooperation with Switzerland's “César Ritz” Colleges); Associate Degree in Business Administration; and a Diploma in Hospitality Management & Tourism.
