“The book fair is a natural place for us to be with our cultural partners, in order to promote the French culture and lifestyle, targeting all French speaking communities in the region. Also it is considered a platform to all those who are interested in French culture and way of life in general” Renata added.

The French pavilion, hosted by the BIEF - International Agency of the French Book Publishing Industry – witnessed a series of events which included book signings with over 10 famous authors – having Jerome Ferrari the French Abu Dhabi resident winner of this year's prestigious Goncourt Award.

In addition to the above authors, there were nine other novelists signing their books: Kenize Mourad, Rachid Boudjedra , Amara Lakhous, Samar Yazbek, Nihad Sirees, Guy Delisle, Quentin Gréban, Stephen Tunney, Jacques Ferrandez, as well as  Kyra Dupont Troubetzkoy. “At the book fair there was something for everyone, with school kids running about the creativity corner, women browsing the long aisles and men finally picking that book that they should have read. The business goes on as usual but in dedicated spaces, giving the fair a healthy mix of culture and commerce, In this regard, ADIBF has been a great success” Renata added.
