My-HD partners with Altech to maximize its unique business imperatives

More My-HD certified boxes in the market will help viewers enjoy a hassle-free viewing experience with quality HD content

Dubai, UAE, 17 February 2013 - My-HD, the secure, independent, affordable television platform that offers a single viewing card solution for High Definition (HD) channels in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has announced today its partnership with Altech Multimedia, the high-technology Multi-media solutions group. The long-term agreement comes in line with My-HD's aim to maximize its unique business imperatives and provide hassle-free viewing experience with quality HD content.

MY-HD Media introduces one of the first CCA (Cloaked Conditional Access) cardless boxes with a slot for a second operator; the My-HD CCA receivers will be distributed by Altech through a large network of dealers.

Commenting on the partnership, Cliff Nelson, CEO of My-HD Media, said: “We believe that forming a strategic alliance with Altech Multimedia is the right step for us, this company is one of the largest Set top box producer in the world and has shown over the years its commitment to the region. With more than 22 million HD-ready televisions installed throughout the region, TV viewers are increasingly demanding, and expecting, HD content.  Viewers want a simple, single viewing solution for all HD channels from multiple satellites.  The CCA receiver from My-HD allows viewers to do just that”

This agreement will also help My-HD secure more subscribers as there are now more My-HD certified receivers in the market. Viewers who purchase My-HD CCA receivers will be able to enjoy MBC 1, MBC 2, MBC 4, MBC Action, MBC Drama, MBC MAX, and Al Arabiya News Channel, for free, in High Definition.
