Landscape 2020 Briefing Days Will Showcase Latest Innovations in Outdoor Design Market
Dubai, UAE: His Excellency Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General, Dubai Municipality, today opened the Outdoor Design and Build Show 2015, the Middle East’s only event focusing purely on design and build for all public and private spaces, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
To discuss the major developments in the market, a series of briefing days are running alongside the Outdoor Design & Build Show, featuring local and international leaders in outdoor design and urban development. The Landscape 2020 series will bring together municipalities, developers and architects to showcase the most innovative urban projects, from concept through to completion.
Landscape 2020 started today with the Municipality Briefing Day, bringing together regional municipalities to provide an in-depth understanding of their current plans and requirements and how that aligns with their country’s strategic vision. Day Two tomorrow will focus on developers, delivering a detailed exploration of current projects, while Day Three will give architects a platform to share insights, best practice and world-class designs.
Companies engaging in Landscape 2020 include Cracknell, KEO, Arup, Diamond Developers, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Al Barari, and Perkins+Will.
With as much as USD 2.87 trillion of projects in the GCC currently at the design, build or construction stage, sustainable and environmentally responsible development is a key issue in the region. Increased spending on social infrastructure and efforts to improve living standards and use outdoor space more effectively are also boosting outdoor projects, according to industry experts.
The Outdoor Design and Build Show also features major international brands and local industry leaders showcasing the most exciting and cutting-edge products and services in the outdoor design market. Major confirmed exhibitors include Tanseeq LLC, Gebal Group, Bee'ah, FX Luminaire and Elegance Shades & Décor amongst others.
Hosted and fully backed by Dubai Municipality, the Outdoor Design and Build Show, which runs daily from 11am to 7pm until April 15th, is the only dedicated international platform in the Middle East that caters to the entire spectrum of hard and soft landscape products and services.
