Doha (Qatar), 4th March 2015 – Doha set the scene for an exhilaration filled conclusion of HH The Emir’s Trophy presented by Longines. Held at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, HH The Emir’s Trophy is one of the most-awaited equestrian events on Qatar’s horse-racing calendar every year and fittingly so as it delights audiences with a blend of sophistication and equestrian excitement.
The thrilling competition witnessed Dubday mounted by jockey Lanfranco Dettori win the HH The Emir’s Trophy presented by Longines. Well-known for its commitment to elegance, Longines also crowned Mrs. Mariel Quintana the most elegant Lady of the Day and honored her with a stunning Longines timepiece.
The Longines Conquest Classic Moonphase in Steel & Rose Gold Cap was named the official watch of the elegant event. The Conquest Classic collection is dedicated to equestrian sports enthusiasts who are not willing to compromise on elegance and thus made for the perfect watch to officiate the event. With a diameter of 42 mm, this chronograph houses the self-winding mechanical chronograph movement L678. The material is stainless steel and 18 carats Pink Gold cap 200 while the transparent case back is adorned with sapphire crystal. The silvered dial possesses applied indices coated with Super-LumiNova® and is perfectly complemented by the pink hands also coated with the same material. The timepiece also features hours, minutes, and small seconds with 24 hours indicator at 9 o'clock while the date is indicated by the half-moon central hand. Water-resistant to 5 bar, the transparent case back of this model ensures that its scintillating movement can be observed. These chronographs all have a triple folding safety clasp.
All in all, Longines once again paid homage to its eternal slogan, “Elegance is an attitude,” by presenting an event that was full of equestrian elegance and exhilaration. Longines is the Official Timekeeper and Watch of both the Al Rayyan Racecourse and HH The Emir’s Trophy presented by Longines.
