Dubai, 26 February 2015 – As the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Tournament reaches its exciting climax this weekend, some of the biggest names in tennis have been enjoying the luxury of Audi, courtesy of Al Nabooda Automobiles.
The exclusive dealer for Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates is celebrating its decade of support of the prestigious tennis tournament, while Feliciano Lopez warmed up for his first match in the Championships with a spin in the Audi simulator in the Tennis Village, before taking a closer look at Al Nabooda Automobiles’ display of Audi models , including the superb A7 50 TFSI Quattro.
Lopez, the tournament’s sixth seed, laughed as he tried out the simulator, saying: “Wow what a great experience, but tough. As you can see I am not very good at driving and I think I will need to come back and do another test!”
Lopez, a two time finalist in Dubai in 2004 and 2008, was pleased to be back at one of his favourite tournaments. “It’s great to be here again. Since my first time in coming to Dubai to play in this event, I have realised that this is one of the best tournaments in the world.
“With more courts having been added and having the hotel next door is amazing, you can walk right out and be where you need to be. It is incredible what they have been doing over the years to improve the event. I am really happy and pleased to be here this year.”
Guests to the Tennis Village not only have the opportunity to try the Audi simulator, but could also be lucky enough to win either an Audi A8 or Q7 courtesy of Al Nabooda Automobiles. Visitors simply have to enter either one of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Surprise Draws at the Audi display in Tennis Village.
One lucky fan could also have the chance to drive home from the Championships in a brand new Audi A3 from Al Nabooda Automobiles. Visitors can be in with the chance of becoming the coveted new owner of the stylish, luxury sedan by guessing the exact number of tennis balls in the A3 on display in tennis village.
Throughout the tournament, fans can also check out the latest Audis on display in the village including the A7, the S3 Quattro, the S8 Quattro, and the Q5 45 TFSI.
“Audi has a long history supporting a range of sports,” said Mr K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles. “The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship is a particular passion for the company and here in Dubai, we are excited to be supporting this exclusive event for the 10th year running.
“We are honored to be associated with such a prestigious event that brings the world’s best players to the Emirate. We look forward to gifting one lucky fan this year’s raffle car, the stylish Audi Q7.”
