Dubai, December 4, 2014 - Rhythm Watch company, renowned for their time pieces, inked a distribution agreement with UAE based Time Center LLC. Time Center is part of the internationally renowned Al Abbas Group and Damas Jewellery. Announcing this in a press conference Mr. Takanori Kudo, President of Global Sales and Marketing of Rhythm, Japan said that this is a historic moment for the organization. We look forward to the association and we are confident that Time Center will add the necessary impetus to our growth strategy.
Rhythm was established in 1950 and Rhythm started its overseas business more than 60 years ago. Rhythm has been developing the market with its fine technology and quality which drove Rhythm as the world famous timepiece brand. Since 2003, Rhythm started taking its own brand strategy which resulted in 11 years of continuous growth in their overseas business and now Rhythm has distribution in about 90 countries in the world and the distribution is on a growth curve.
From 2003 to 2012 Rhythm’s brand strategy was called as “Rhythm Japan Brand strategy” and due to the big success, in 2013, Rhythm took a new brand strategy called “Rhythm Global Timepiece strategy”. According to this unique strategy
- Rhythm entered into watch business in a professional way and combined clock business and watch business under one single top global brand which is Rhythm.
- This moves Rhythm brand from Rhythm Japan to Rhythm global timepiece.
- Rhythm clocks are called “Home Decorative Accessories” and Rhythm watches are called as “Personal Identified Accessories” which meet any single consumer’s demand depending on their lifestyle and taste.
Although there are so many clock companies and watch companies existing in the world, to combine two product segments by one single global brand by the same person with fixed concept and future vision is only Rhythm.
Takanori Kudo, with about 30 years’ experience in global business of which around 20 years has been outside Japan has played a very vital role in establishing the brand on a global level. Along with his global network and strategy, all distributors and Rhythm staff are working together as a Rhythm family to make their business grow further.
“Clock business and watch business are different type of business and in order to make Rhythm global business grow more, Rhythm needs to take a new way to set up separate distribution from clock distribution and manages both correctly. Rhythm’s new watch distribution which started in Japan, Asia and China has grown exponentially over the years. Because of the power of the Rhythm brand and the new Rhythm Global Timepiece strategy, Rhythm keeps adding watch distribution to more countries such as USA, Europe, etc. The time has come to enter the Middle East region and the first priority is UAE. Rhythm also started developing exclusive Rhythm shops in the world and now there are more than 150 Rhythm exclusive timepiece shops in the world,” pointed out Mr. Kudo.
In UAE, Rhythm has a great partner with the ITL Group, which is well known as COSMOS, for clocks and they started Rhythm clocks distribution about 60 years ago. With regard to the Rhythm watch, Rhythm has appointed Time Center L.L.C. as its distributor. Time Center is managed by Mr. Frederick Rebello, Managing Director who has over 35 years’ experience and is a specialist in watch business field. “Our research has shown that there is a huge potential of Rhythm watch in the UAE. We have a very strong presence in UAE with regards to distribution network & market coverage. We have been distributing many international watch brands for more than a decade. Due to our expertise in the watch field, we are well equipped to handle RHYTHM watch and make it a popular brand in the UAE market,” pointed out Mr. Rebello.
