Piaget was proud to partner with Fox Searchlight Pictures to host the West Coast premiere of “The East.” Co-writer and star, Brit Marling, who wowed in Piaget at New York premiere, once again chose to wear a Piaget Rose pendant in 18-carat white gold set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds for the evening's events. Marling looked every bit the leading woman while walking the red carpet; fresh, young and feminine, she is the first to wear this piece from the new Piaget Rose collection.
The entire cast came out to support the film, including Alexander Skarsgård, Ellen Page, Patricia Clarkson and co-writer and director Zal Batmanglij. Also in attendance was “The Office” star Kate Flannery, Michael Gladis of “Mad Men,” Cameron Silver from Bravo's “The Dukes of Melrose” and actress Arden Myrin. Hollywood directors Catherine Hardwicke of “Twilight” and Nicholas Jarecki, who directed last year's acclaimed hit “Arbitrage” also starring Marling, came out to lend their support. Following the premiere, Piaget hosted an after-party at Hollywood hot spot, No Vacancy, to celebrate the film's success.
Piaget has a longstanding commitment to independent film and the arts and has been a principle sponsor of the Film Independent Spirit Awards for several years. The house also sponsored the New York premiere of “The East” on May 20th where the film was feted by New York's downtown crowd.
