Marks & Spencer Al Futtaim Unveils its Glamorous Winter 2012 Lingerie Collection

November 5, 2012, Dubai, UAE: Marks & Spencer Al Futtaim today unveiled its exclusive winter 2012 lingerie collection at a glittering soiree attended by VIPs, invited guests and media at The Westin Hotel, Dubai. Celebrating the natural glamour in every woman, the gorgeous Marks & Spencer Autumn Winter lingerie collection featured glamorous styles and ultra-feminine shapewear.

The exclusive M&S line-up showcased a combination of sumptuous fabrics, intricate textures and embellishments, creating an opulent and dramatic look, with sparkle coming through as a major trend. M&S has collaborated with Swarowski Elements to create beautiful Autograph lingerie and sleepwear using their crystals embellished on top of lace for the ultimate in sophisticated glamour.

The highlight of the catwalk show was the much anticipated Rosie for Autograph winter collection – designed by model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - encompassing the chic and sophisticated look synonymous with the Autograph brand.

Rosie picks up on the trend for rich berry shades for this luxurious winter collection that includes ultra-soft pyjama sets, sophisticated lounge suits and delicate classic silk nightgowns and wraps. The range also features silk lingerie sets, camisoles, Brazilian knickers and kimono-style robes decorated with rose-print motifs and deco-inspired detailing. New colours and prints are added to the silk bras and knickers, including a stunning rose lace shaping slip which delivers a chic profile-slimming shape.

Beautifully engineered and classically designed, the red satin finish basque is the 'show stopping' piece in the Rosie for Autograph collection, holding-in a woman's figure in all the right places to create an hour glass silhouette.

In Limited Collection, the range picks up the trend of black lingerie and bright pops of colours, featuring flirty prints and floral. The sassy styles include 50's style long line bras, bodies, flirty camis, knickers and playsuits. The pieces are inspired by eccentric London looks and vintage heritage where plaids, floral, and bows are the favorites.

Shapewear gets a glam makeover this season and is an essential piece in every woman's wardrobe. Curvacious shapes are created in an instant with slips, waist cinching knickers and shaping bras. These intimate M&S pieces give a fantastic streamlined figure because they are made in lightweight fabric, with improved two-way stretch and smooth seam free finishes. This range uses the latest innovations in technology to combine comfortable support with elegant designs, offering solutions that every woman will love!

The new winter 2012 collection also sees the reemergence of non-padded and wire free bras. Innovative techniques have been used to create the contemporary look and feel and to enhance the support, shape and comfort levels. Layering soft fabrics as well as a diverse mix of rich textures adds to the versatility of the collection and will interpret the key trends for this season.

Soozie Jenkinson, Head of Design for Lingerie at M&S says, “Winter's streamlined silhouettes call for innovative lingerie solutions. Deep plunging necklines, nipped in waists and hip emphasizing pencil skirts demand a lingerie wardrobe makeover where stylish shaping and slimming solutions steal the spotlight.

She adds, “It was great working with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to create her own collection. It encompasses the chic and sophisticated look synonymous with the Autograph brand, combined with the expertise and inspiration drawn from Rosie's extensive experience in the fashion industry”.

Zainab Al Mahry, Regional Marketing Manager, Marks & Spencer Al-Futtaim, said: “We know that all women have their own individual personality, shape, size, style & needs, that's why our gorgeous, innovative lingerie celebrates the natural glamour in every woman. This is the Marks & Spencer ethos. The winter collection of stylish and flattering lingerie has already become a big hit around the world and we expect a great demand in UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman & Bahrain.

The collection is available at all M&S stores from November 5, 2012 in UAE, Kuwait & Qatar and from November 11, 2012 in Oman, Bahrain and online at www.marksandspencer.com
