Live Out Loud: Bloomingdale's – Dubai puts the spotlight on Autumn/Winter 2015 collections

Dubai, September 22, 2015: Bloomingdale’s-Dubai wants you to live out loud in this season’s latest collections for Autumn/Winter 2015! This year, the brand transformed a private tent in Dubai Design District into a visually stimulating, optical showcase presentation featuring some of the most coveted designer and contemporary labels, some of which are exclusive to the retailer in the Middle East.

Surrounded by geometric mirrors and cascading halogen light installations, 500 guests were treated to an energetic presentation of fashion’s must-have looks and labels for fall including:

On the move in monochrome: A nod to the retailer’s iconic branding, this segment of the show featuring marquee-worthy looks that flowed and flared from Alexis and Givenchy to sharp, tailored silhouettes from Alexander Wang and new brand offering, Opening Ceremony.

Decade Darling: Highlighting softer silhouettes, bigger prints, metallic accents and fair amount of fringe, this category found its inspiration in the retro glory of the 60s and 70s reflected in key pieces from Christopher Kane, Simona Corsellini, Magda Butrym, MSGM and more. Guys played up the Modern Athlete in bold prints and sporty silhouettes from AMI, Kenzo and 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Dark Romantic: Playful prints fall into a decadent layering of textures and embellishments that add to the richness that is the dark romantic. This segment boasted Lanvin, Stella McCartney, Alice + Olivia, Dries Van Noten and Alexander McQueen.

As a finale, sparkling and embellished evening gowns and designer wear made for an encore presentation, featuring the likes of luxe labels Jenny Packham, Monique Lhuillier, and Zuhair Murad, with red being highlighted as the hot hue for the season. Bloomingdale’s-Dubai’s collection of fine jewelry proved to be a beautiful companion to these looks, with Wendy Yue, Yeprem, Marli and exclusive pieces from Buccellati’s high jewellery collection and family vault.

Makeup looks for the show were created exclusively by Giorgio Armani Beauty, who is celebrating 15 years of beauty and the launch of their new beauty boutique located in Bloomingdale’s-Dubai Beauty Department. The first look captured the ‘Decade Darling’ and emphasized a smoky blue eye and rosy cheek while the second look, ‘Dark Romance’ drew attention to a soft, classic smoky eye, subtle contouring and a powerful red pout.

After a fashionable dose of the season’s must-have fashion trends, guests mingled as DJ Emir played a contemporary mix of rock, hip-hop and R&B.
